Basic Policy on Handling of Personal Information
The Committee recognizes the importance of personal information, complies the laws and regulations concerning personal information, and appropriately acquires, utilizes, and manages the personal information handled by the Committee in all business activities of the Committee in order to protect the customers' personal information.
- Appropriate Acquisition：The Committee will acquire personal information by lawful and fair means.
- Clarification of Utilization Purpose：When obtaining personal information, the Committee will clarify its utilization purpose, and if the information is planned to be provided to a third party, such purpose and scope will be clarified and shall be disclosed within an appropriate scope.
- Restrictions on Unintended Utilization：The Committee limits the utilization of personal information to within the scope of the purpose specified in advance, and will not utilize the personal information beyond the scope of such purpose without consent of the customer.
- Protection and Management：The Committee will take necessary and appropriate security measures for the personal information it holds, and will assign a person in charge of management for each department handling the personal information, to strive for appropriate management of personal information.
- Inquiries and Corrections：If a customer wishes to inquire, modify, or delete his or her personal information, the Committee shall respond upon confirming that such request is made by the customer himself/herself.
Public Announcements in Accordance with the “Acts on the Protection of Personal Information”
- Name of the Personal Information Handling Business Operator：Oita Heritage Vitalization Committee Secretary Office.
- Utilization Purpose of the Personal Information Obtained：The personal data held by the Committee will be utilized for planning, arranging, coordinating, travel consulting, general operations (including contacting, sending materials, arranging and quoting, claiming for travel fees, etc.) and conducting customer satisfaction surveys. Utilization of personal data for sending direct mail (for marketing purposes) will be limited to customers who have agreed to receive such mails, and utilization of personal data for distribution of e-mails, etc. will be limited to those who have registered, or accepted to receive such e-mails either verbally or in writing.
- Procedures to Respond to Requests for Disclosure of Information：When the customer himself/herself or a designated agent requests to notify, disclose, correct, add, delete, suspend the utilization of, or remove (hereinafter collectively referred to as "Disclose, etc." ) the personal data held by the Committee, we will respond within a reasonable time frame and scope, upon confirming that the individual making the request is the customer himself/herself.
